AI Disclaimer
EatFlow uses AI to interpret meal descriptions and meal photos and to estimate nutrition. AI may also help classify meals, create summaries, and generate notes for logged meals or check-only analyses.
When you request AI meal analysis, EatFlow may send your meal description, meal photos you upload (provided to OpenAI as image URLs from our backend), clarification answers, requested app language, and analysis instructions from our backend to AI service providers such as OpenAI. If recommended targets are calculated with AI, EatFlow may send age, gender, height, weight, preferred units, goal, activity level, and target intensity. If Day Score AI feedback is calculated, EatFlow may send logged meal titles, meal types, nutrition totals, meal tags, daily nutrition targets, and relevant profile context such as age, gender, goal, and target intensity. We do not intentionally send your name, email address, password, Apple payment information, or account identifiers in AI prompts.
AI results can be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or biased. AI may misunderstand portions, ingredients, brands, cooking methods, sauces, oils, supplements, fortified foods, local dishes, or details visible or missing in photos. Photo-based estimates are approximate and may miss hidden ingredients or exact serving sizes. AI estimates are not guaranteed and should be treated as approximate.
If you save an exact meal description for repeated use, EatFlow stores that description and the resulting analysis in your account. If you save a meal with photos, those photos may remain stored with the meal and shown in Meal Details. If you later analyze the same normalized description with the same relevant meal type, EatFlow may reuse the saved result instead of calling AI again. Changed descriptions may trigger a new AI analysis.

We may update AI providers, prompts, models, schemas, or safety checks over time. Results may change as the service improves.
